If you are thinking about recruiting with Radiant , but playing EQ2, Vanguard, WoW and/or any other game more then you are logging into EQ1 , you need not apply. Radiant recruitment is all about getting to know the person recruiting , we cannot do this when you might be playing once a week and on very few raids with us. There is nothing more frustrating to the recruitment officers and to those trying to get to know you then to start your recruitment and have you all but disappear without a word. We understand that Real life comes first but if you don't let us know that you are not going to be around for whatever reason ( it only takes 2 min to post on these boards ) then after a week of your absence we will assume that you no longer wish to recruit and will terminate your recruitment till we hear from you.

If you don't have one, make one. If you have one, update it. It has a flag & keys section make sure that is up to date as well. Click HERE in case you've never been there. If you need help with it use THIS link. If you still need help ask, people will be more than willing to help if they are not busy at the time. (There are NO excuses for not having one, given the extensive walkthrough.)

MAPS
If you have them, make sure they are up to date. If you don't have them, get them. Go and download the latest map pack HERE, it will make navigating EQ much simpler. It is a lot easier on everyone involved if you know how to get to where you are going.

Recruiting Time
We want to keep recruiting time to a minimum and the only way for us to do that is for you to be online and with us as much as you can. The ideal recruit time is a minimum of 3 weeks and 10 attended raids, but in the end it is up to you how long your recruit time takes.

Settle your affairs in your previous guild.
We require our applicants and recruitees to not be in another guild. This also means that /ANON IS NOT ALLOWED when applying to us !

Cross Recruitment
Any persons found to be cross recruiting will have their recruitment immediately terminated, and will not be allowed to reapply for a minimum of 6 months

We recruit ONE MAIN
It is irrelevant if you box 10 different accounts. If a raid is full and there are boxes, we will ask you to drop them to make room for a main. Main > all in the order of priority. If you wish to swap mains, the decision MUST be approved by the guild leader. See an officer for guidelines about switching mains.

2 Box Policy
We recruit you for your main. Raiding is meant to strengthen our raid force. Your first prioroty should be to play your main to the best of your ability to benefit our raids.

If you are capable of boxing a second toon, it will be allowed to attend the raid if the circumstances meet a couple stipulations.
1) Boxes will be allowed to attend raids ONLY if there is space open. They will be dropped according to need if there are any MAINS that want to join raid. Officers reserve the right to keep a box in the raid over a main if the box is necessary to beat the encounter.
2.) You may only box a second toon if you are capable of playing both toons as if they were both mains. You may not refuse assignments with the reason being that you are boxing. You and your box will be kept together whenever possible. If the two have to be split up, you should be able to function normally. We need to be able to count on our raid force regardless of whether they are a boxed toon or not.

Boxes may loot at the expense of the main's DKP points if/when no other mains are interested in the loot. Loot will be recorded under the "Owner" of the box. This ensures that a 2Boxer does not recieve significantly more loot than a single character player.

Retag Policy
The first time a member voluntarily (this does NOT include detagging by an Officer) removes himself/herself from the guild, there will be 1 (one) automatic retag - no questions asked. A member making second return (this does NOT include detagging by an Officer) will be subject to a full or extended recruitment period at the discretion of the Officers. Any further removal will ensure yourself a nice goodbye card. Radiant is not the home for you.

Any member that wishes to return after detagging done by an Officer must be approved by the Officers and is subject to a full recruitment.

Have a good attitude
90% of our decision when taking on a new member is based on attitude. If you can play well with others and keep a cool head when the going gets rough you'll fit right in. The members will be voting on you becoming a member so be careful who you piss off.

Raid with us A lot
We are a raiding guild, plain and simple. Our goals are to better ourselves and reach the high end of the game while retaining a sense of individuality. There is no better way for us to judge whether or not you'd be a good member than to see how you react under stressful raid situations. Once your interview has been conducted, the Recruit Officers will give you the channel info. All recruits are required to be in these channels and make an effort to group and raid with us. While we understand people have real lives, during your recruit period you will be expected to raid or group with us at all times while you are online. If you disappear for days without notice, are online and not with the guild, or are not making an effort to be with the guild, you will be denied. This may sound hardass, but we're very picky about who we let into our family.

Thursday: Generally is an Off night.

Sunday: 7:30 pm est - 12 midnight est




Meet the class requirements


Radiant has never and probably will never make recruit decisions based upon a person's class or gear. We recruit the person behind the toon, plain and simple. If your class is of low priority, it by no intentions means that you will be automatically denied recruitment. It merely means that we currently have enough/adequate people of that class, and are not actively searching for more candidates. If you are still interested, speak to a Recruit Officer and they will evaluate the situation before allowing or denying your recruitment at that time. The class leaders are also listed, these people are extremely knowledgeable on their classes and will try to answer any questions that you may have, along with inducting you into the corresponding Radiant class channel.

Here are the general requirements that all recruits must meet. Additional class specific requirements are listed below.
- Own all expansions
- Have an EB item or potion Philter of Aquatic Haunt
- Have a way to self invis (stackable cloudy potions or Philter of Concealment)
- Have a way to self shrink (ex Philter of the Ant)
- Have a way to self gate (ex Philter of Major Translocation 10sec cast or A Vial of Swirling Mist instant or both)
- Minimum of 250 in all resists unbuffed
- Level 75
- All pet classes must have pet hold

* You could possibly with approval begin recruitment without these, but they are required before you can be voted on for membership.

Specific class AA requirements, hp/mana requirements and class leaders are below.

Bard - *Open* - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Run 8, Sionachies Crescendo, Improved Instrument Mastery, Improved Singing Mastery, Mental Clarity, Body and Mind Rejuvenation, Precognition, Thick Skin + 8k unbuffed hp

Beastlord - *Open* - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Mass Group Buff, Paragon, Pet Discipline + 8k unbuffed hp + 7k unbuffed mana

Berserker - Ohuan - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Flurry 3, Cascading Rage 5 + Discs: Rage Volley, Axe of the Destroyer, Crippling Strike + 8k unbuffed hp + 100 worn atk

Cleric - Reddnek - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Healing Adept Mastery, Healing Gift Mastery, Resplendent Cure, Celestial Rejuvenation, Divine Arbitration, Mental Clarity, Mass Group Buff, Spell Casting Subtlety, Have epic 1.0 + 8k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana

Druid - Hachimusume - Minimum 250 AAs required including: SCM, SCM Mastery, Healing Adept 3, Healing Gift 3, MGB, Innate Camo, SoTW 3, SoTG 3, Resplendant Cure 1, Call of the Wild, Convergence of Spirits, Shared Camo + 7k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana

Enchanter - Erana - Minimum 300 AAs required including: Combat Agility 6, Combat Stability 6, Secondary Forte in either Conjuration or Alteration, Spell Casting Reinforcement 3, Spell Casting Subtlety 6, Spell Casting Mastery 3, Eldritch Rune 5 or higher, Gather Mana or Mana draw, Mass Group Buff, Mesmerization Mastery, Nightmare Stasis 1 or higher, Total Domination 1 or higher + 7k unbuffed hp + 8.5k unbuffed mana

Magician - *Open* - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Pet Discipline, Spell Casting Fury 3, Spell Casting Subtlely 3, Quick Damage 3 + 7k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana

Monk - *Open* - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Stonewall 5, Rapid Feign 3, Swift Journey 2, Imitate Death, Lightning Reflexes 5 + 8k unbuffed hp

Necromancer - Jolren - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Death Peace, Critical Afflication 6, Blood Tithe 3, Greater Blood Tithe 3, Life Burn, Spell Casting Mastery, Pet Hold, Willful Death at least 5/10 + 7k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana + 20 regen

Paladin - Ranthan - Minimum 300 AAs required including: Defensives,Improved Lay on Hands, Improved Hand of Piety, RGC (AA + Spell), + 12k unbuffed hp + 10k unbuffed mana + 2500 unbuffed ac

Ranger - *Open* - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Archery Mastery 3, Endless Quiver, Combat Fury 3, Lightning Reflexes 5 + 8k unbuffed hp + 7k unbuffed mana

Rogue - *Open*- Minimum 250 AAs required including: Shroud of Stealth, Escape, Ferocity 3, Nimble Evasion, Ambidexterity, Hasty Exit 2 + 8k unbuffed hp

Shadow Knight - Sikasila - Minimum 350 AAs required including: Knights Advantage 3, Speed of the Knight 3, Death Peace, Combat Stability 18, Combat Agility 18, Shield Block 3, Harm Touch 8, Run 5 + 12k unbuffed hp + 10k unbuffed mana + 2500 unbuffed ac

Shaman - Volkl - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Mass Group Buff, Spell Casting Reinforcement Mastery, Cannibalism 5, Combat Agility 3 + 8k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana

Warrior - Rasky - Minimum 300 AAs required including: AE Taunt, Planar Durability 3, Sturdiness 5, Precognition 5, Thick Skin 5, Physical Enhancement, Tactical Mastery 3, Bellow of the Mastug, + 13k unbuffed hp + 3k unbuffed ac

Wizard - Luitchenstein - Minimum 250 AAs required including: Spell Casting Fury 3, Spell Casting Mastery 3, Spell Casting Subtlety 6, Destructive Fury 9, Improved Familiar 4, Quick Damage 3, Spell Casting Fury Mastery 11 + 7k unbuffed hp + 8k unbuffed mana

Know our DKP system
Currently our DKP is acquired in several ways:
- Raid targets, DKP are added when the mob dies.. 1/2 points on a fail.
- Hourly attendance, taken once every hour. Includes those on the list when a raid is full.
- Ontime/EndOfRaid, at 7pm est, an hourly attendance is taken and is worth double hourly points. Same happens for the last hourly of the night so west coasters who cant make ontime still can get their bonus. This is to encourage showing up early and staying until the end.
- Attendance, there are monthly bonuses for high attendance.. Attendance levels are 0-10% Inactive, 10-50% Active, and 50%+ Raider.

When bidding for loot, one sends a tell to the officer handling the desired loot ("Yourname bids on itemname") and the player with the highest banked DKP wins. While recruiting with Radiant , recruits will not roll or ask for specific loot rewards unless indicated to do so by a raid officer awarding loot .

Use the message board and chat channels
The message board and our chat channels are our hub of communication for our guild. It not only details what raids are occuring, but also establishes a sense of family and lets us get to know you better. Communication is a MUST from all recruits. Don't dissapear for days at a time without letting us know where you are! Also, you are expected to check the message boards daily! The recruitment officers will not chase you if there is information to be given. They are entirely too busy to do that. It is your responsibility, as a recruit, to check for any updates on their application thread, see if there are any call to arms, ect. Saying that you did not see the information is not an excuse. We make it acessible, it is your job to check it.

Sponsors
As a recruit, you MUST have one (1) sponsor within the guild who is willing to take responsibility for you. Talk to these people before you post here. YOU CAN START RECRUITING WITHOUT A SPONSOR but you are expected to get to know the guild members and try to find one.

Temporary Tagging
If you are accepted into recruitment, one of the Recruitment Officers will invite you as a temporary member. You will be designated as a recruit in the guild window. If your recruitment goes well, we will change your label as appropriate. If all does not go well, we will ask you to detag.

Invitation to Radiant in any capacity is a privilege ! You are invited not only to get to know us and us to know you, but to give our recruits the benefits of a Guild Hall, whether it be the hot tub, portal, guild bank, or tribute. Please do not abuse the guild bank, take only what you need and no more than that. Do not abuse this privilege.

In your recruitment application post, please use the followig template:

Post ONLY in this same format ( copy n paste if that helps )

- Name of your character
- Your Class, Level & AAs (in particular the required AAs)
- Your Magelo (either a link or the actual Magelo number is required)
- A current e-mail in the event we need to contact you!
- Summary of Flags & Keys (in particular Crystallos access, MMM access, Solteris flagging, TSS faction)
- Do you have the most recent set of Maps, a way to self invis/shrink/gate, and an enduring breath item?
- Previous guild(s) you have been in
- Who your sponsor is if you have one if not indicate that you still need one. (you must have a sponsor before your poll will be posted)
- Have you read and understood ALL the Terms of Recruitment?
- What is the reason you wish to join Radiant and where did you hear about open Radiant recruitment

Please note that after you have posted your application for recruitment and you are accepted into the process, your application will then be moved into a private forum.

You, as the new recruit, will also gain access to that forum. There you can meet and greet our membership.

After you submit this application, YOU need to contact us in game. You can feel free to contact any officer that you find on line from the list of Officers provided above.


Failure to adhere to any of these instructions will indicate a general inability to follow direction ( a key requirement for raiding ) and thus further reduces your chances for recruiting with us.

All interviews will be conducted upon officer availability. Two officers are required, and most times they are busy organizing a project but interviews will be handled in a timely manner !
